Xanthan Gum Conditioning Hair Jelly

“My Life is full of little miracles popping up out of the blue.”
Louise Hay

Happy 4th of July!  I hope you’re all Lavishly Celebrating the holiday.  Lavish and I are at Disneyland with the family.  Here are 2 of my wonderful little ones Laila (4 yrs.) and Asia (6 yrs.).  We’re in Tarzan’s Treehouse cooking up some awesome natural hair products in his high tech kitchen!  I put fresh braids in before the trip and braided/twisted the little one’s hair.  I made a homemade Xanthan Gum Conditioning Hair Jelly to take with us along with a natural organic cocoa butter pomade we used for our ends and skin.  This jelly can also be used as a conditioner as well.  Did I say I love this stuff?

Xanthan Gum Conditioning Hair Jelly

1/4 tsp xanthan gum

1/4 tsp guar gum

1/4 tsp amla powder

3/4 cup purified water

1/4 cup aloe vera juice

1 tbsp coconut oil (or your hair’s favorite)

2 to 4 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil (or your Favorite)

Mix water, aloe vera juice, xanthan gum, and guar gum in mixing bowl or blender for 2 to 5 minutes.  If you want your mix to be thicker, or have a more gel like consistency (but not a gel) use 1 tsp each of xanthan gum and guar gum.  Add coconut oil  and essentials.
