Just like that, summer is coming to a close and it’s Back To School Time in LavishLand. As we search for new protective styles to try, my curly kiddies decided they want “Mommy’s Braids!”
“Mommy’s Braids” aka “Easy braids” are easy to put in, take care of, and last for up to 3 months. I like to leave ours in for about 6 to 8 weeks depending on how well we take care of them.
If you’ve never braided your hair before, set aside about 4 hours, grab a comb (for parting), hair clips, 4 to 6 bags of hair (depending on thickness and length) and go for it – this weekend!
Post pictures of your braided goodness below 🙂
I’ll make sure to post pictures of my first time “braiding” my kids hair with extensions.
Did you see my Lil Naturalista on Instagram this week? She did her hair all by herself, flaxseed gel, vanilla oil and all!
This week I re-stocked on all of my vitamins. I threw out the ones that expired including an old hair, nail and skin bottle from 2008.
Hair, Nail & Skin Vitamins have always been very popular, but i never found one that grew my hair any noticeable length, even after 90 days.
In my quest to find if any REAL vitamins created bodacious hair growth in under 30 days, I found some pretty good contenders.
First – there are several vitamins that create luscious hair growth.

If you don’t like taking a lot of vitamins and supplements, consider adding juicing to your healthy hair habits. Juicing will give you a massive, all-natural “dose” of plant powered nutrition in just a few gulps!
As always, before taking any new vitamins or supplements, check with your wonderful medical team or wholistic practitioner…
